Florida Family Law

Self-Help System

How does Family Law Self-Help Work?

The Florida State Courts System's Self-Help Center is your online guide to help direct you through the court system. On the site you can explore resources needed to represent yourself, access the courts, and other essential resources. The self-help website includes family law forms approved by the Florida Supreme Court. These forms can assist with various matters including child custody, divorce (dissolution of marriage), time-sharing, relocation, motions, and more.

How is child support calculated in Florida?

Child support is awarded based on numerous factors. Those factors include:

* The amount of parental responsibility each parent has

* Monthly Income

* Child Care Costs

*Amount of overnight stays (timeshare) with each parent

* Various others

For your convenience, The DAD LAW Firm has provided an external link to a Florida Child Support Calculator.
